Sermons should be biblical and relevant. Biblical means that they start with the Bible and explain what God is saying. Your faith cannot grow on entertaining stories and pep talk. If I preach our own thoughts we have no right to preach in God's name and claim that this is his Word. Therefore my sermons are firmly based on the Bible.
Sermons should also be relevant. God addresses you in your situation: he calls you to believe in him and serve him, he comforts you and corrects you. He did this when he spoke through Jesus, the prophets, and the apostles, and he continues doing this today. Sermons should show you how Gods word is meaningful in your situation and how God's grace changes your life.
If supported by a godly lifestyle of the preacher, such preaching can be like Paul describes it in 1Thessalonians 1:5: "our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction." It is my desire that you experience the power of God's word when you read or listen to these sermons.

We are glad that you found the way to our website and are interested in our sermons. If you live in the Denver area, we would like to encourage you to participate in our worship services. A worship service is more than just listening to preaching: together, we respond to God's word in prayer and song and we honor him. When you read a sermon at home by yourself you miss out on the grace God gives in the community of the church.
